Biography

Ema Mullalli is the artist behind the Art of Manifestation Gallery, known for her versatile and prolific body of work encompassing painting, drawing, epoxy resin etc. She has been in the art field for over 40 years.

Full name: Ema Mullalli
Birth: Ema Mullalli was born on 25 April 1973 in Dishnice, Korce, Albania.

Early life: She was a very creative child, and she began drawing and painting from a young age and having her paintings collection since she was 12 years old. She was raised in a family with strong interest in education and art. She attended the “Tefta Tashko Koco” art school in Korce Albania were she received formal training in art and developed a strong passion for art and after that in 1991 she decides to start a teaching degree at university “Alexander Xhuvani “in Elbasan Albania.

Early carrier: Working as a teacher for five years open to new ideas, and continuously seek to expand the knowledge and skills and teaching methods and trying to build positive relationships with students, understanding their needs challenges and aspiration. At the same time working and developing art skills on a side.

Arrived in Australia in 2003 with lots of plans and desires to start a new life in a new country.

She settled in Melbourne and continued to paint, finding inspiration in Victoria’s energy and diversity and spent several years of studying and working.

In 2015 she created an art gallery and launched the gallery online and at the same time showing her teaching passion by running art classes as well. She specialises in producing high quality functional art as well as decorative paintings, her long-term background and education allows for each of the art pieces to have their very own unique and exclusive characteristics.

The priority of Ema’s artwork is the collection of Artscape with varieties of series such as portraits, landscapes, still life and murals.

The collection of portraits is significant for meticulous and detailed representation and a high degree of technical skill. In most of the portraits the attention to detail is immediately striking and the background, intentionally kept simple and unobtrusive, ensures that the viewer’ attention remain firmly fixed on the subject. The realistic portraits are a testament of her artist’s technical prowess and her ability to capture not only the physical likeness of the subject but also the depth of their character and the essence of their being. It serves as a timeless and true to life presentation, inviting the viewer to engage with the presence and personality of the subject.

There are some impressionist portrait paintings, associated with the impressionist movement and characterized by a distinctive style that focuses on capturing the fleeting effect of light, colour, and atmosphere.

The landscapes on her collection encompassing a wide range of subjects, including Panoramic views of landscapes, mountains and fields, forests, rivers, oceans, and lakes. Her landscapes often represent different seasons, capturing the changing colour and moods of nature, that is present at “Pond”, “A beautiful place to rest”, and lots of ocean’s capes. She pays close attention to the details such as light, shadow, and atmospheric effects. There is a variety of brushstrokes to convey texture and detail in trees, foliage, rocks, water, and other natural elements. We see a rich and diverse colour palette to convey the changing light and seasons, colours which evoke moods and emotions. Ema employs techniques like linear perspective to create depth and spatial relationships within landscape. She carefully composes the scenes, often following traditional compositional rules by creating a beautiful realism and naturalism on the landscapes.

In some ocean’s cape we see impressionist movement, focus on capturing the transient effects of light and colour in the landscape, often with loose brushwork and vibrant colours. Her landscapes express her personal connection to nature and her interpretation of the environment, which can evoke a wide range of emotions, from tranquillity and nostalgia to awe and contemplation.

The “Still life “paintings on her collection are often arranged in a carefully composed composition. It invites the viewers to contemplate the beauty, symbolism, and aesthetics of everyday objects. Usually at the centre of the painting is a wooden table serves as a stage for the delightful tableau, it is covered with a richly textured, tablecloth that drapes gracefully, its folds and creases casting soft shadows that add depth to the scene.

Fruits or vegetables meticulously placed, the selection is impressive and varied, showcasing the colours, shapes, and textures of the harvest. The background of the paintings is deliberately kept simple, the highlights on the fruits or flowers give a tactile quality, making them appear almost tangible, and the worm light it bathes the entire composition in a warm, inviting glow, evoking a sense of comfort and serenity.

Every curve and contour of her body is rendered with meticulous attention to detail, from the subtle rise and fall of her chest to the elegant arch of her limbs. The use of light and shadows is remarkable, Shadows gracefully accentuate the curves and lines of her body, creating a sense of three-dimensionality. The highlights on her skin catch the light delicately, evoking a luminous quality that seems to emanate from within.
